Show Time Coming!
Only about 80 days until the Show on May 17th and 18th! I bet your fingers are getting smooth from all of the sanding. I’m very excited to see everyone’s pieces! Here’s the calendar of events related to the show:
Saturday, April 19– Paint Party 1:30PM: We need to paint our pedestals in preparation for the show. We can meet for lunch at the Bothell Country Village after our regular NWDA meeting and then setup for painting party. I’ll bring a cover in case it’s a rainy day. Need 3-4 volunteers.
Thursday, April 24 – Jurying Round 1- Marysville: Will need volunteers for setup, jurying, check-in, etc. Need 8 -10 volunteers.
Saturday, May 10, Jurying Round 2: 9:30am -1:00pm-Kirkland Congregational: Will need volunteers for setup, jurying, check-in, etc. Need 8-10 volunteers
Thursday, May 15, Country Village Courtyard Hall –late afternoon (Time TBD)- Setup pedestals and tables etc. Need 8-10 volunteers
Friday, May 16, Artist Check-in (Time TBD) – Artists Check-in Pieces Need 8-10 volunteers
Friday, May 16, NWDA Show Preview and Potluck-Need volunteers to help with planning, setup, decorations, clean-up etc.
I’ll have sign-up sheets at the NWDA meetings and other events leading up to the show and you are also welcome to email me at corinnesrsen@msn.com or call me 253-838-6150 to choose your volunteer slot(s).
Don’t forget to send me your ‘before’ pictures for the Transformation of Beauty Slide Show. You can email them to me at corinnesrsen@msn.com no later than May 11, 2014; please include your name and the name of the piece. I’ll match them up with your show piece picture which I’ll get from Lisa. If you send me pictures of pieces from a past show, please also include the ‘after’ picture, since I won’t have access to old pictures. Call me if you need help with your photos. 253-838-6150.
